WATER BILLING PROCEDURE:   Water bills are mailed monthly on the 28th (or the next business day) and payment is due by the 17th of the next month (or the next business day).  The Village mails approximately 900 monthly water bills. If you have any questions regarding your water bill, please do not hesitate to call village hall during normal business hours.   For payment options, you may utilize the 24 hour drop box located in front of Village Hall, come in during office hours with your cash, check, money order or credit card OR use the website ePay program.

If you are 65 years or older, you are eligible for a senior citizen discount.  Contact the village clerk to have the senior citizen discount added to your account.  This discount is not retroactive and will begin with the next billing cycle after the discount is applied.

WATER SHUT-OFF PROCEDURE:   If your water has been shut-off and you need to have your water reconnected after hours (between 3:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.), contact the police department at 815-357-8726.  You will be required to pay a $100.00 call out fee in addition to your past due balance in order to reconnect your water service.

ANNUAL WATER RATE INCREASE:   There is an automatic increase of two percent (2%) of water and sewer rates effective April 1 of each year.

GIFT CERTIFICATES:   If you would like to pay money on a specific person's water account, or to apply money to a customer in need, you can do so by contacting the village clerk to request a gift certificate be sent to a resident.  If you wish to remain anonymous, you may do so.
