LIQUOR LICENSE INFORMATION

Any Seneca business that participates in the sale of liquor will need to obtain a yearly liquor license. Liquor license notices are routinely sent by April 1st and are due within 30 days. The Village Mayor serves as the Seneca Liquor Commissioner.

Requests for liquor licenses are made by filling out an initial application from Village Hall, the Council approves the application, and after a personal background check clears the fee is based on which classification your business liquor sales fall.  You may make payment through the E-PAY program on this website!

AMUSEMENT LICENSE INFORMATION

Any Seneca business that operates amusement machines are required to pay an amusement fee per machine. This fee is $25.00 per machine yearly and is due no later than December 31st each year, you may use the E-Pay program through this website.  Please contact Village Hall at (815) 357-8771

CONTRACTOR LICENSE INFORMATION

An Ordinance was passed on May 6, 2008 relating to the registration of contractors conducting business within the Village of Seneca. Any person desiring to engage in the business of contracting within the Village of Seneca is required to file an application for registration with the building and zoning officer. If you would like information regarding this please contact zoning officer Frank Hall 312-479-2437.  Contractor Registration form can be obtained off the "download forms" portion of this website. Any contractors wishing to utilize the E-Pay program may do so through this website!

SIGNS ORDINANCE

Any permanent or temporary signs displayed in the Village of Seneca are covered by an Ordinance in the Village Code.  This includes such items as their construction, placement, maintenance, moving parts, lights and permits and fees.
