NOTICE TO BIDDERS
VILLAGE OF SENECA
SALE OF 119 S. HOSSACK STREET

The Village of Seneca requests sealed contract proposals to be submitted to the Village Clerk for the sale of a single-family residence located at 119 S. Hossack Street, in the Village of Seneca.  Sealed envelopes marked “Contract Proposal, 119 S. Hossack Street” are to be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024, to the Office of the Village Clerk, 340 N. Cash Street, Seneca, IL   61360.  The following information is to be included in the sealed bid:

  1. Proposed purchase price;
  2. Financing or cash purchase; and
  3. If financing, provide pre-authorization for the loan and confirmation that a closing can occur within 45 days of the contract proposal submission.

Contract proposals that do not contain the information set forth above will not be considered. In the event that after the contract proposals are opened and the top proposals are within $10,000 of one another, the Village may provide those top proposals an opportunity to increase their contract proposal.

The bid opening will take place on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Office of the Village Clerk, 340 N. Cash Street, Seneca, IL   61360.

The property is being sold as-is.  The Village will not be providing title insurance or a survey, but purchaser may obtain these items at their expense.  Buyer contingencies will not be accepted.

The Village of Seneca reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

Minimum bid to be considered is $52,000.00.  Appraisal of the property is available for inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk, 340 N. Cash Street, Seneca, IL.
